SELL YOUR DISKS (DVD, CD, GAMES)

What is a Disk-Selling Service?

It couldn't be easier to sell off your old CDs, DVDs and games than with a disk-selling service. This is no auction service like eBay, so there is no effort on your part! Just find out how much your disk is worth and if you are happy with the price, send it off (for free) and receive your money in the post.

So, de-clutter your home today and make cash without having to work even 5 minutes!

How Does it Work?

Most disk-selling services offer a simple online valuation process:

  • 1. Enter the full barcode of your disk into the online valuation tool
  • 2. Enter up to 500 barcodes!
  • 3. Print off / request your free postal pack
  • 4. Send off your items
  • 5. Receive your money via cheque!

How Are Items Valuated?

Disks are valuated individually, but the criteria used depends on the service you use. In most cases they will say that they use a number of different criteria to determine the offer price of a disk.

Is the Price Quoted the Price I Will Get?

Not necessarily. Once you send off your disks, they will be checked for quality. If they are scratched or damaged then you may see up to 50p per disk deducted from your valuation offer. If a disk fails the inspection, they cannot be sent back – so make sure you consider carefully before you send them off!

What About Vinyl?

In most cases, vinyl disks (records) cannot be accepted. Most companies only accept CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray and games.

What are the Benefits and Advantages?

If you want to get rid of old disks that are collecting dust at home, this is a great and simple way of doing it. With a free valuation process, you can decide whether or not to send your items off – and even if you do, postage is usually free so there is no cost on your part.

However, bear in mind that the offer you receive for your disks may be a lot lower than you paid for them. In addition if the disks are damaged or scratched you may end up losing money in the final inspection part of the process.

Make sure you find out in advance if there are any additional fees, though in many cases there are no extras.
